Steven Martinez

Steven Martinez currently serves as a Resident Assistant and Co-President of Advocacy for the NYU Inter-Residence Hall Council, representing 12,000 NYU residents and working on initiatives such as free laundry services for at-risk student groups. Additionally, Steven is the President of Othmer Residence Hall, overseeing a budget of $18,000 and coordinating events. As a Scholar with the Hispanic Scholarship Fund, Steven contributes to promoting support for Hispanic students. Previous experiences include a research internship at Columbia University focusing on protein binding affinities and participation in the SHPEP program at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. Earlier, Steven worked as a tutor for America Reads*America Counts, assisting students in underrepresented schools. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at New York University, with an expected graduation in May 2025.
