Tom Beyer

Tom Beyer is a distinguished freelance composer with a career spanning over five decades, primarily active since September 1969. Compositions have been commissioned by notable institutions such as The Public Theater and La Mama ETC, as well as international collaborations with the Opera Orchestra & Choir of Constanta Romania and the Anton Webern Ensemble in Berlin. Concurrently, Tom Beyer serves as Chief Systems Engineer, Adjunct Professor, and Network Administrator at New York University since July 1997, while also holding the position of Technical Director at the Electronic Music Foundation since 2003, overseeing systems design and technical operations for concerts. Tom Beyer holds a Master of Arts in Composition from Manhattan School of Music and New York University, achieved between 2003 and 2006, following an earlier education in Composition and Music/Culture/Technology from both institutions and others from 1995 to 2003.
