David Wilson-Burns

David Wilson-Burns has over 19 years of experience in the software development industry. David is currently the Engineering Manager at nZero and has previously held positions as a Senior Software Engineer, Senior Developer, and Computer Programmer. David has also authored a book and served as a software consultant.

David’s experience includes working with various programming languages and platforms such as Java EE, Stripes MCV, Spring MVC, Java Swing, Glassfish, Red Hat Linux, and Oracle. David has also been involved withISO-9001 Quality Management and served as a database administrator and lead software engineer for the MIPR (Military Interdepartmental Purchase Request) Database at the FAA. In addition to their work in software development, David has also provided billing and software support.

David Wilson-Burns completed a Bachelor's of Music Education at the University of Oklahoma. Afterward, they became certified in the CM Industry Standard ANSI/EIA-649B Principles & Applications from the University of Houston. Later, David Wilson-Burns obtained a certification in CM for IT & Software Development from the University of Houston as well. Lastly, they received their AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).

They are on a team with and Scott Macpherson - Director, Developer. Some individuals on their team include Anthony Ostia - Site Reliability Engineer, Kat Giang - Integrations Engineer, and Matt Malone - Software Engineer. Their manager is John Rula, Chief Technology Officer.
