Tammy Taura has extensive experience in both leadership and fitness instruction. Currently serving as President of the DC Rice Alumni since July 1996, Tammy coordinates activities for a 1600-member alumni group and participates in the Centennial Campaign Regional Committee and Homecoming Chair. Tammy has been involved in various fitness roles, including Water Safety Instructor at the American Red Cross since June 2021, and multiple instructor positions at Paddle Into Fitness, nZone, and other organizations since 2014. Additionally, Tammy held the position of Marketing Director at Professionals in the City from 2007 to 2015 and worked as an Associate Decision Analyst at Decisions and Designs, Inc. from 1984 to 1988. Tammy Taura earned a B.A. in Managerial Studies and Psychology from Rice University, where education was completed from 1980 to 1984, following attendance at St. John's School from 1967 to 1980.
