The reason Oak Street Advisors chose to be a fee only financial advisory firm is simple.  We believe our clients are looking for solutions to their financial problems not financial products.  By opting to work on a fee only basis Oak Street Advisors can eliminate many of the conflicts of interest inherent in the business models of many who hold themselves out as providing financial advise.  Oak Street Advisors is a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), an organization that champions the cause of fee only investment advise and comprehensive financial planning.

As a Registered Investment Advisory firm, Oak Street Advisors is bound to accept a fiduciary standard of care for all our clients.  The fiduciary standard is the highest level of care, requiring us to always put the needs of our clients first.  Our clients know that Oak Street Advisors will always make recommendations based on what we believe to be in their best interest.  We aim to fully disclose any conflicts of interest and take steps to mitigate any that arise.
