Oakhurst Energy delivers solar canopy infrastructure as a Principal Contractor, taking full responsibility for design, engineering, construction and grid integration under a single contract.

For organisations with complex estates, such as NHS trusts, local authorities, retail groups and transport operators, the challenge is rarely the technology. It is the delivery risk.

Planning approvals, DNO constraints, ground conditions, stakeholder coordination and live-site operations introduce multiple points of failure. When responsibility is split among consultants, suppliers and subcontractors, those risks tend to fall to the client.

We remove that fragmentation.

Every project is delivered as a fully integrated scope, including:

•	Site assessment and energy modelling
•	Structural design and engineering
•	Planning and G98/G99 DNO applications
•	Civil works and foundations
•	Steel structure manufacture and installation
•	Electrical integration and commissioning

All managed by one team, under one programme, with a single point of accountability.

This approach has been deployed in operational environments where disruption is unacceptable, including live hospital estates and transport infrastructure. Projects are sequenced to maintain continuity, with defined programme control from pre-construction through to handover.

The result is infrastructure that performs as intended, technically, commercially, and operationally, over a 25-year lifecycle.

Oakhurst Energy is part of the Renew Construct Group, combining specialist solar expertise with wider construction capability to support complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
