Carl Pearse

Carl Pearse currently serves as the Interim Chief Technology Officer at OakNorth, a position held since August 2025. Previously, Carl held various leadership roles including Chief Technology Officer (Fractional) at Loadsure and Chief Technology Officer at Super Payments, where tenure extended from April 2022 to March 2025. Prior to these roles, Carl was the Director of Engineering at Beauty Pie Ltd and contributed as a Board Trustee at Cycling UK. Carl's experience also includes significant positions such as VP of Engineering & Operations at Freeup, Head of Global Engineering Delivery at Funding Circle UK, Head of Engineering Applications at Lloyd's, and Head of Engineering Delivery at Wonga.com. Carl began a career in management as Development Manager at GfK, advancing to Senior Technical Project Manager. Carl holds a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Leeds and an MBA in Business Administration and Management from The Open University.
