Roberto Cano

Roberto Cano has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Roberto started their career in 2006 as an IPTV Engineer at Alcatel-Lucent, where they worked until 2009. From 2010 to 2011, they served as an STB Middleware Architect at Elias Interactivo.

In 2011, Roberto joined Irdeto as a Senior Security Engineer, focusing on implementing piracy detection and prevention technologies. Roberto stayed with the company until 2014 and was recognized as one of the top 10% employees of the year.

Following their time at Irdeto, Roberto worked at Verimatrix as a Senior Mobile Engineer from 2014 to 2017. Roberto was responsible for developing the DRM Fusion Agent product, which provided streaming, decryption, and playback capabilities for media content on Android and iOS platforms.

From 2017 to 2019, Roberto was a Senior Game Developer at Social Point, a leading Spanish video game developer. Roberto contributed to the development of popular mobile games like Dragon City and Monster Legends, focusing on gameplay and UI/UX implementation.

In 2019, Roberto joined Outfit7 as a Senior Game Developer, where they led the development of a new Tom game from scratch. Roberto established team culture, defined processes, and onboarded new members.

In 2021, Roberto embarked on entrepreneurial ventures. Roberto founded The Solid Chain, a company offering blockchain development services and technical leadership for Web3 technologies. Additionally, they served as the Founder and Chief Technology Officer of ANTHILL, a decentralized global collective supporting creators, entrepreneurs, and investors.

Roberto also worked as an Engineer Lead and Smart Contracts Developer at Ntropika Labs from 2021 to 2022. Roberto played a key role in developing the DeFi Potion Protocol and led a team of three developers.

Currently, Roberto is employed as a Senior Smart Contracts Engineer at Summer.fi, starting in 2023.

Roberto Cano's education history includes various programs and degrees. In 2023, they completed the ZK Bootcamp at Encode Club, focusing on computer science. Prior to that, in 2022, they also attended Encode Club and earned a degree in Expert Solidity Bootcamp, specializing in blockchain technology.

Before their professional bootcamp experiences, Roberto pursued higher education at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid from 1998 to 2002. Roberto obtained a Master of Science in Computer Science, focusing on computer architecture, system programming, and formal languages.

In addition to their formal education, Roberto has received several certifications. Roberto achieved the Golden Award - Year of the Rabbit 2023 from Codility in January 2023. In November 2022, they also received the Golden Award Carol of the Code, along with the Golden Award - National Coding Week 2022 Challenge in September 2022. Further, they earned the Golden Award - Jurassic Code in June 2022 and the Golden Award - Titanium 2016 in August 2016.
