Obasan was established in Ottawa, Ontario in 1985. Our objective has always been to handcraft organic mattresses and bedding products of the finest quality. Our products are GOTS and GOLS certified, meaning you won’t find any harsh chemicals, glues, off-gassing, flame retardants in our products – ever. Simply pure, natural, organic materials.

Honesty is important to us. We’ve spent decades fostering personal relationships with farmers who’ve dedicated their lives to producing the purest wool, rubber and cotton one can find. Our GOTS and GOLS certifications provide full transparency—from organic farming and sourcing all the way through to the finished product. The result? We can honestly say all of our products are truly organic, so you never have to worry about what your head is resting on.
