Helmut Klarer

Helmut Klarer is currently the Chief Security Architect at ÖBB Group and has held various key positions within the organization, including Chief Enterprise Architect for OT and Network and Head of Strategic Industrial/Energy Automation. With extensive experience in cybersecurity and information security, Klarer has been instrumental in establishing security strategies for critical railway infrastructure and developing SCADA systems to meet evolving demands. As a Senior Consultant at CyberCon since 2017, Klarer continues to contribute to the field while also managing a unique role as a concierge for cats. Helmut holds a Diplom-Ingenieur in Electronics and Business and two Master of Science degrees in Telecommunications and Internet Technologies from Fachhochschule Technikum Wien.
