Romane Blanchard currently serves as an R&D Project Manager at ÖBB since May 2021. Prior to this role, Romane worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne from May 2018 to April 2021 and at The University of Melbourne from January 2015 to April 2018. Earlier experience includes a position as a Project Assistant at Vienna University of Technology from February 2011 to October 2014 and an internship at the same institution in April to September 2010, focusing on the bending of heavy plates for industrial applications. Additional internship experience includes a research project at Politecnico di Torino in June 2009, exploring the inclusion of carbon nanotubes in cement. Romane holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Technische Universität Wien, obtained from 2011 to 2014, and a Master of Science in Material Engineering from Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Ingénieurs de Limoges, achieved from 2007 to 2010. Early education included a High School Degree in Physics and Chemistry with studies completed at Lycée Roosevelt and Lycée Clémenceau.
