Robert Lario

Robert Lario, PhD, MSE, MBA, is a highly experienced scientific researcher and director, currently affiliated with the University of Utah's Department of Biomedical Informatics and BPM+ Health. Since May 2017, Robert has served as an Advance Enterprise Architect & Knowledge Engineer for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, focusing on knowledge-based systems, health architecture, and interoperability. In addition, Robert has held leadership roles as Co-Chair of the Healthcare Domain Task Force at the Object Management Group and as CEO of Visumpoint, LLC. An expert in clinical terminology and health informatics, Robert holds an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School, an MSE in System Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, and a PhD in Biomedical Informatics from the University of Utah, complemented by a BS in Computer Science from Old Dominion University.
