Allison Horst

Allison Horst, PhD is a Developer Marketing Manager at Observable, where Allison creates educational content, leads workshops, and hosts community calls. Previously, Allison worked as a Teaching Faculty at UC Santa Barbara, where Allison developed and led courses in various subjects and played a leadership role in implementing a new Master of Environmental Data Science program. Additionally, Allison served as an RStudio Artist-in-Residence at Posit PBC and a Faculty Lecturer at the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management. Allison holds a PhD in Environmental Science from UC Santa Barbara, as well as an MS in Mechanical Engineering and a BS in Chemical Engineering from the same institution.
