Matt Ray

Matt Ray has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Matt most recently worked as a Senior Sales Engineer at Observe, Inc. starting in May 2023. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Sales Engineer, Global Strategic at Astronomer from July 2022 to May 2023. Matt also worked as a Sales Engineering Manager at Lacework from March 2022 to June 2022.

Before transitioning to sales and engineering roles, Matt held positions at IBM, including Product Manager for IBM Cloud Cross Portfolio Solutions from February 2021 to March 2022. Matt also worked as an Enterprise Account Executive at Turbonomic, an IBM company, from February 2020 to February 2021.

Earlier in their career, Matt worked at Platform9 Systems as a Lead Sales Engineer, West from June 2019 to February 2020. Matt also held various roles at IBM Turbonomic, including Senior Manager for Sales Engineering, Enterprise West from May 2018 to June 2019.

Matt has prior experience at Citrix, where they served as a Senior Technology Specialist from May 2013 to June 2014 and as a Sales Engineer from July 2012 to May 2013. Matt also worked in sales at Jack & Adams Bicycles and interned as an Engineering Operations Intern at Radiant RFID in 2011.

Matt Ray has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, obtained in 2020. Prior to their MBA, they completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree at The University of Texas at Austin, specializing in Mechanical Engineering and Business Foundations. In addition to their formal education, Matt has obtained several certifications, including Apache Airflow Fundamentals from Astronomer in July 2022, Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in March 2019, Turbonomic ACE Professional from Turbonomic in June 2015, CCEE from Citrix in October 2012, and MCITP - Enterprise Administrator 2008 from Microsoft in October 2012.
