Casey Shoop

Casey Shoop, CFA, is currently a Finance Manager at Obsidian Insurance Holdings, Inc, a position held since 2025. Previously, Casey served in various roles at The Hartford, including as an ECLDP Intern on the Finance Track, and gained experience as a Financial Analyst and Senior Investment Accountant. Prior to that, Casey worked at Hartford Investment Management Co. (HIMCO) as an Associate Credit Research Analyst and later as Senior Director of Credit Research. Casey earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Economics, graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of Connecticut, where they also studied General coursework abroad at the University of Melbourne. Currently, Casey is pursuing an MBA in Business Analytics at the University of Connecticut, expected to conclude in 2027.
