Kunal Chavan

Kunal Chavan is a full stack machine learning engineer currently employed at Obungi GmbH since October 2023, where development of multiple custom chatbots utilizing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) has significantly improved response accuracy and decision support. Previously, Kunal served as a Graduate Research Assistant and Master Thesis Student at Fraunhofer-Institut für Solare Energiesysteme ISE, focusing on transfer learning methodologies for HVAC fault detection and diagnosis from July 2022 to September 2023. Kunal's earlier experience includes a role as a scientific research assistant at Fraunhofer Institute for Mechanics of Materials IWM, a marketing intern at Arcora international Gmbh, and maintenance positions at Rossari Biotech Ltd and Uttam Galva Steels Ltd. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Renewable Energy Engineering and Management from The University of Freiburg and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Saraswati College of Engineering Kharghar Navi Mumbai.
