William Acker

William Acker is a Senior Systems Engineer at OBXtek since June 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Amyx, Inc. where they held multiple roles including Senior Systems Engineer Supporting the Program Executive Office at USTRANSCOM from October 2021 to June 2022, and Senior Architect for Defense Personal Property System at US Transportation Command, Scott AFB, IL from February 2019 to January 2022. Before joining Amyx, Inc., they were a Certified Enterprise Architect at LMI from July 2008 to January 2019. William also served as a Senior Contractor Architect for USTRANSPORTATION Command at LMI Sub to Trident Technologies from October 2016 to December 2018, and as the Lead Sr Architect at Trident Technologies from October 2014 to October 2016. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Program Manager at Red Cedar Enterprises from January 2012 to September 2014. William started their career as an Enterprise Architecture Campaign Leader at Sumaria Systems Inc from June 2006 to July 2008, and as a Senior Analyst at SRA International from June 2005 to June 2006.

William Acker has a strong education history with various degrees and certifications. William obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services from Webster University, where they studied from 1995 to 1997. Prior to that, they earned a Master's Degree from Marine Corps University in an unspecified field of study, attending from 1993 to 1994.

In terms of undergraduate education, Acker earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Education from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, completing their studies from 1973 to 1977.

Additionally, Acker has obtained several certifications. In 2019, they achieved the CopmTIA Security+ CE certification from CompTIA, and the SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. In 2016, they received a certification in BPMN from Bruce Silver, BPM Essentials. Acker also holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute, obtained in 2013. In 2008, they acquired the IT Information Library Foundations Certification (ITIL) from the ITIL Foundation Certification Training Level. However, it is worth noting that the obtained month for the Certified Enterprise Architect certification from The FEAC Institute is unknown.
