Eric Hood is an accomplished photographer and media specialist with extensive experience in various photography roles. Since November 2017, Eric has served as a Police Photographer for the Los Angeles Police Department, providing essential photographic services for forensic and crime scene documentation. In addition, Eric is the Owner and Lead Photographer at Eric Hood Photography, overseeing all business operations and creative processes. As a Photojournalist for OC Weekly, Eric works on assignment to document events, while previous roles include Photographer and Videographer at Tripepi Smith & Associates and Photographer for Sanford Studios, focusing on high school events. Eric’s early career includes serving as a Media Specialist for the City of Placentia, managing local television programming and productions. Eric holds a Bachelor’s degree in Film Production from California State University, Long Beach, and an Associate degree in Film and Electronic Arts from Santiago Canyon College.
