Julia Rowe serves as the Sustainability Director at Ocado Group since January 2024 and is a Board Member at techUK, where strategic discussions on technology challenges and opportunities in the UK take place. Julia is also an Expert Panel Member for The Faraday Institution, contributing to research on Lithium Ion Battery Recycling. Previously, Julia held the position of Global Sustainability Director at Johnson Matthey for nearly three decades, leading the development of comprehensive sustainability strategies and achieving high ESG ratings. Julia’s career includes roles in technology commercialization, customer leadership, and corporate research related to emissions control. Julia holds a Chemistry degree from the University of Oxford, a Postgraduate Certificate in Sustainable Business from the University of Cambridge, and a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Reading.
