Michael Ong

Michael Ong is a Manager at OCBC since June 2022, where responsibilities include launching the OCBC MyOwn Account, a pioneering deposit product for youths under 16 that includes mobile banking and debit card access. Previously, Michael served as an Assistant Manager in Tech Solutions for Consumer Banking, facilitating the first digital housing loan repricing channel on the OCBC website. Earlier experiences include a Research Intern role at A*STAR Institute of Bioengineering & Bioimaging, where experiments for anti-cancer treatments and COVID-19 virus retention were conducted, and a Quality Assurance Intern position at Abbott, supporting quality management processes across the APAC and China regions. Michael began working as a Safety Officer at NTU Hall of Residence 10, managing logistics for a student orientation program. Michael holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Nanyang Technological University Singapore.
