Michael Griffith is an experienced geologist with a strong focus on operations and geosteering in the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as a Senior Operations Geologist at Oxy since May 2019, Michael manages geological operations for horizontal drilling in the Midland Basin, overseeing two of Oxy's eleven rigs in the Texas/New Mexico Permian area. Prior roles include Geosteering Geologist at Shell Oil Company, where Michael geosteered over 200 wells across multiple regions, and Senior Geologist at ConocoPhillips, responsible for geological operations across one-third of the company's L48 rigs. Earlier experience includes roles as a Mud Logging Geologist and Technical Advisor, along with a foundational education in geology from Texas A&M University.
