Alistair Bounds

Alistair Bounds is a Senior Research Scientist and UKRI Future Leaders Fellow at Occuity, where they develop novel retinal imaging instrumentation to detect chronic and systemic diseases. They completed a PhD in Atomic and Molecular Physics at Durham University, where they investigated ultracold highly excited Rydberg strontium atoms. Alistair has held various roles, including Treasurer for the JCR at St John's College Durham, where they managed significant revenue and contributed to the establishment of financial policies. Additionally, they gained experience as a researcher at the Financial Advice Academy and worked with Deloitte in auditing and tax. Currently, Alistair is pursuing an Executive MBA.
