Max Rykov

Max Rykov serves as the Director of Growth at Occupi since March 2025. Previously, Rykov held the position of Director of Development and Communications at Nashville International Center for Empowerment from August 2021 to March 2025, and was the Associate Director of Development during that time. Prior experience includes Development Manager at Tennessee Riverkeeper, where Rykov organized significant fundraising initiatives, and Communications and Community Engagement Officer for the City of Birmingham, where Rykov notably increased social media engagement. Rykov also contributed as a writer for B-Metro Magazine and founded Max Rykov & Associates, producing numerous events that raised substantial funds for local non-profits. Furthermore, Rykov directed the Birmingham Awesome Foundation, overseeing the distribution of grants to community projects, and was a Communications Associate at Agency54. Rykov holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Development and Religious Studies from The University of Alabama.
