Jerry Aviles

Jerry Aviles is a software engineer with extensive experience spanning several roles in both front-end and back-end technologies. Currently employed at Occupier since June 2022, Jerry has enhanced skills in Agile methodologies and Test Driven Development while writing end-to-end and unit tests using Cypress and Jest. Jerry's past positions include iOS Engineer at CodePath and Software Engineer at NYC Tech Talent Pipeline, where proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Postgres, Express, React, and Node.js was developed through real-world projects. Previous roles also include Technology Coordinator at Sunset Park High School, providing technical support, and as a Mechanical Engineer in the ACE Mentor Program of Greater NY, contributing to mechanical renovations under the guidance of industry professionals. Jerry is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at the City University of New York-College of Staten Island, with prior education from Sunset Park High School and ongoing studies at Rutgers University–New Brunswick.
