Ocean Conservancy
Jeff Watters serves as Vice President of External Affairs at Ocean Conservancy, directing teams focused on domestic government relations, Florida state programming, and ocean advocacy initiatives. With a background in legislative assistance for Senator Maria Cantwell, Watters developed ocean policy strategies and managed oversight of NOAA and the Coast Guard. Previous roles include a NOAA Knauss Sea Grant Fellow and Christine Mirzayan Science & Technology Policy Graduate Fellow at the National Academy of Sciences. Watters holds a Master's of Science in Limnology and Marine Science and a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and Anthropology, both from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
