Lauri Whitcomb

Lauri Mathis, MLS, CIA, CRCM, is an experienced internal audit professional currently serving as the Internal Audit Director at OceanFirst Bank since May 2016, having progressed from the role of Internal Audit Manager. Prior experience includes serving as an Internal Auditor at Cape Bank from March 2011 to May 2016, where Lauri independently managed audit work on SOX, COSO, safety/soundness, and compliance testing. Lauri began a career at Sun National Bank, working as a Branch Examiner from September 1997 to March 2011, managing audits across over 65 branches. Lauri holds a Master’s degree in Legal Studies from Seton Hall University School of Law, a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management from Stockton University, and an Accounting Specialist Program credential from Atlantic Cape Community College.
