Business Lead, Technology Innovations at Ocean Infinity

Andy Tourell has a diverse work experience in the fields of sustainable sports and events, marine robotics, and sailing. Andy currently holds the position of Business Lead, Technology Innovations at Ocean Infinity, where they focus on developing programs and opportunities for applying the company's technologies and green energy solutions in the marine industry. Andy is also a Sustainability Commission Member at the British Triathlon Federation. Previously, they worked as a Sustainable Sport and Events Specialist at Earth to Ocean, managing projects with clients such as World Athletics, Rugby League World Cup 2021, and Sail GP to implement sustainable management strategies. Andy also worked as a Sport and Events Specialist at PCSG and served as the Executive Director for Sailing at OC Sport, where they directed the Extreme Sailing Series and built partnerships with global brands and governments. Andy has a background in sailing, having held roles such as Extreme Sailing Series Event Director at OC Sport Ltd, Artemis Offshore Academy Operations and Logistics Manager at OC Sport, and Mate and Boat Captain on IMOCA 60 AOR1 at Artemis Ocean Racing. Andy also served as Skipper and Boat Captain of Volvo 60 "Hugo Boss" at Alex Thomson Racing, leading a corporate/racing World Tour.

Andy Tourell obtained a Diploma in Sponsorship from the European Sponsorship Association in 2012. Prior to that, they pursued a Master's Degree in Oceanography at the National Oceanography Centre, University of Southampton from 2000 to 2001. Andy began their educational journey at the University of Plymouth, where they completed a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences (BSc hons) from 1996 to 1999.
