James Thompson has extensive experience in the maritime industry. James started their career as a Deck Cadet and 3rd Officer at Global Marine Systems Ltd from 2000 to 2004. James then worked as a 2nd Officer at North Star Shipping Ltd from December 2004 to January 2005. James further worked at MENAS MARINE SERVICES LIMITED as a 2nd Officer and DPO from 2005 to 2008. In 2007, they briefly worked at ADAMS OFFSHORE as a 2nd Officer and DPO. From 2008 to 2011, they served as a 2nd Officer and SDPO at Sealion Shipping Limited. Since 2012, they have been working at Middle East Navigation Aids Service as a Chief Officer and SDPO, where they have been involved in various projects including windfarm installations and diving operations. James is currently employed at Ocean Infinity as Chief Officer and SDPO, starting from 2023.
James Thompson attended South Tyneside College in 2000-2004, where they obtained a HND degree in Nautical Science. James also attended the same college in 2007, 2013, and 2016, although no specific degrees or fields of study are mentioned for these periods.
