Sam Taylor's work experience begins with their current role as a Business Development Lead at Ocean Infinity, where they are responsible for growing the business in the offshore wind and power transmission sectors. Prior to this, they served as a Business Development Manager at the same company, focusing on seabed mapping, site investigations, construction support, inspection, and maintenance.
Before joining Ocean Infinity, Sam worked at DeepOcean, where they held various positions. They started as a Graduate Plough Support Engineer and then became a Graduate Engineer, completing a training program that involved offshore projects in different locations. They later served as a Project Engineer, a Commercial Support Engineer, and a Senior Commercial Engineer.
In their last role at DeepOcean, Sam worked as a Technical Sales Manager, promoting the company's unique selling points across various markets. They were also involved in identifying and developing new technical solutions to meet client requirements. Additionally, Sam served as a Senior Project Engineer, overseeing the build and delivery of DeepOcean's cable installation vessel, Maersk Connector.
Before entering the industry, Sam attended the University of Strathclyde as a student.
Sam Taylor earned a BEng (Hons) in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from Glasgow University and the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, completing the degree program between 2004 and 2008.
