James E. Malackowski has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and industries. James E. co-founded Ocean Tomo in 2003 and held various roles including Co-founder, Senior Managing Director, and Chief Executive Officer until 2022. James E. also founded the Center for Applied Innovation in 2004, where they served as Chairman. James E. founded The Intellectual Property Exchange International in 2005 and guided its initial product development and executive management recruitment. From 2012 to 2013, they were the President of Licensing Executives Society International (LESI) and held various positions within the organization. Prior to these ventures, they served as President and CEO of IP Equity Management and was the Principal and Founder of VIGIC Services. James E. was also a Principal, Co-Founder, President, and CEO of IPC Group from 1988 to 2000. Earlier in their career, they were the Chairman and CEO of JEMAN Technologies, Inc. and an Executive Consultant at Peterson & Co. Overall, James E. Malackowski has demonstrated expertise and leadership in intellectual property, technology licensing, and executive management roles throughout their career.
James E. Malackowski attended the University of Notre Dame from 1981 to 1985, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree. Their fields of study during this time included Accounting and Philosophy. In addition to their degree, James E. Malackowski has obtained several certifications related to business and finance, including being Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) by the AICPA, having a Blockchain Fundamentals for Accounting and Finance Professionals Certificate from the AICPA, being a Certified Licensing Professional (CLP) recognized by the Licensing Executives Society (U.S.A. and Canada), Inc., being a Certified Public Accountant also accredited by the AICPA, and having a Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) certification from the AICPA.
