Nic Schulz has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. Starting in 2006, Schulz worked as a Senior Consultant at Fleishman-Hillard, where they coordinated media campaigns and developed social media strategies. In 2008, Schulz joined the Toronto Region Conservation Authority as Supervisor of Communication and Consultation, where they managed stakeholder discussions, developed online tools, and coordinated reporting. Schulz then worked as a Communications Mobilizer at the Low Carbon Partnership and as a Communications Advisor for the Circular Economy Lab, providing public affairs and communications strategy for both organizations. From 2011 to 2018, Schulz served as the Executive Director of Cornerstone Standards Council. In 2019, they became an Advisor for the Transition Accelerator and the Canadian Climate Institute. Currently, Nic Schulz holds the position of Director of Communications and Engagement at Ocean Wise, starting in 2021.
Nic Schulz earned a Bachelor of Arts in English & Political Science from the University of Guelph from 2000 to 2004. They then pursued a Diploma in Corporate Communications at Seneca Polytechnic from 2004 to 2005. Later, in 2006, Nic completed a Masters degree in Corporate Communications at Western Sydney University.
