Jonathan Wong

Jonathan Wong is an experienced mechanical engineer with a strong background in underwater vehicle design and development. Currently serving as a Project Mechanical Engineer and previously as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Oceaneering since June 2019, Jonathan specializes in ROV dynamic model simulations using MATLAB and C++. Prior experience includes designing mechanical components for underwater vehicles at The Johns Hopkins University and creating a prototype for optimizing underwater vehicle design at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. Jonathan has also held various engineering roles, including managing production at OpenROV, leading logistics for a cross-country cycling trip with Bike & Build, and designing innovative products at Judicci Inc. and Spurcycle. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
