Matt Chapman

Matt Chapman currently serves as the Director of Business Development at Oceaneering Technologies, having previously held the position of Deputy Director in the same department since October 2023. With a distinguished 18-year career in the US Navy, Matt held various significant roles, including Head of Navy Officer Policy and Plans, where responsibilities included leading multi-organizational teams and developing promotion plans in compliance with legal standards. Other notable positions include Deputy Head of the Nuclear Propulsion Program, Senior Board Member for Pacific Fleet Nuclear Propulsion Readiness, and Commanding Officer of the USS ALABAMA, overseeing operations of a strategic nuclear submarine. Matt also served as an Assistant Professor of Naval Science at The George Washington University and earned degrees in Physics and National Security Policy Studies, complemented by extensive training in nuclear power.
