Michael Hadmack

Senior Scientist at Oceanit

Michael Hadmack has a long and varied work experience. Michael began as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2003, where they taught multiple sections of undergraduate physics laboratories, prepared weekly lectures, and graded lab reports and quizzes. Michael was then promoted to Head Teaching Assistant in 2004, where they supervised and mentored other TA's. In recognition of their work, they were also awarded the 2004 Outstanding Teaching Assistant Prize. Michael then became a Graduate Research Assistant in the same university, where they worked on projects such as a feedforward RF stabilization system for the Mark V FEL, a high-power IR optical storage cavity prototype design, and an automated pulsed laser spectrogram measurement system. Michael then became a Postdoctoral Fellow, where they worked on the development of an optical cavity based inverse-Compton scattering x-ray source, the operation and optimization of the Mark V Free-electron Laser, and the development of electron beam diagnostic instrumentation and associated software. In 2014, they joined Oceanit as a Senior Scientist.

Michael Hadmack received their Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2003. Michael then went on to earn their Master of Science in Physics from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2006, followed by their Doctor of Philosophy in Physics from the same institution in 2012.
