Sharon Hall

Sr Director Strategic Marketing at Oclaro

Sharon Hall has over 35 years of experience in the technology industry. Sharon started their career at HP/Agilent in 1984, where they held various roles including Global Account Manager and Field Sales Engineer. During their time at HP/Agilent, Sharon achieved Preferred Supplier status for Fiber Optic Components and had an 80% market share.

In 2000, they joined Agilent Technologies - Semiconductor Products Group as a Marketing Manager, where they were responsible for the worldwide marketing of Fiber Channel fiber optic transceivers and SerDes ICs. Sharon successfully developed a new marketing organization to penetrate the SAN fiber optic market segment.

From 2001 to 2003, Sharon worked at Ignis Optics as the Director of Sales and Marketing. Here, they led and developed marketing and sales efforts for breakthrough singlemode fiber optic technology in Metro/Access and Enterprise markets.

Sharon then joined Bookham Technology in 2003 as a Regional Sales Manager, where they were responsible for all Bookham telecom sales in the Western US. Sharon managed efforts with manufacturer sales representatives and had strategic account responsibility for major companies such as Cisco, Motorola, and Intel.

From 2006 to 2007, Sharon worked at EMCORE Corporation as the Western Region Sales Manager, focusing on Datacom/Enterprise sales in the Western US. Sharon had strategic account responsibility for companies such as Cisco, Force10, and Juniper Networks.

In 2007, Sharon joined Avago Technologies as a Senior Product Marketing Manager. Sharon was responsible for defining next-generation product needs and driving marketing and sales efforts for a broad portfolio of embedded optical modules and transceiver families.

From 2016 to 2018, they worked at OCLARO, first as the Director of North America Marketing where they directed the development of go-to-market strategies, and later as the Senior Director of Strategic Marketing where they were responsible for defining product strategies, developing business plans, and driving competitive advantage.

Most recently, Sharon joined Lumentum in 2019 as the Senior Director of Product Line Management. In this role, they oversee the product line strategy and is responsible for overall success, marketing strategy, and customer engagements for 100G singlemode fiber optic transceiver product families.

Sharon Hall attended San Jose State University from 1979 to 1984, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Industrial Engineering.
