Barry O'Connell

Barry O'Connell serves as the Managing Director for the Americas and Global Account Management at Thought Machine, where responsibilities include leading sales efforts and managing relationships with over 59 global banking clients across multiple regions. O'Connell is also a member of the Board of Advisors for OCO Global, advising on strategic growth and operations. Prior to Thought Machine, O'Connell held senior leadership roles at IBM, overseeing the Banking and Financial Markets Consulting team and the Digital Strategy practice, and was a Partner at Capco focused on digital transformation for banking clients. O'Connell's career began at Accenture as the North American Financial Services Strategy Lead, following a consultancy role at Enterprise Ireland. O'Connell holds an LLB in Law from Durham University and a Diploma in International Law from KU Leuven.
