Scott Townsend

Scott Townsend has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Scott began their career as a Senior Data Technician at ROADWARE GROUP INC, where they were responsible for data collection and quality control for road systems. Scott then transitioned to RPM Technologies, where they held roles such as Analyst, Team Lead, and Senior Team Lead in the Automated Testing and Quality Assurance divisions. In these positions, they managed automated testing projects and implemented performance improvements for software development.

Following their time at RPM Technologies, Scott joined CPP Investment Board as an IT Analyst. Scott played a crucial role in creating automation tools, executing test cases, and maintaining data systems for projects related to quality assurance and data management. Scott also worked closely with business partners and stakeholders to ensure proper testing and requirements definition.

Scott's next role was at Fractal Data Solutions, where they served as the Founder and CEO. During their time there, they focused on developing and leading the company.

Scott moved to Canadian Clinical Cannabinoids as a Quality Assurance professional before joining OCS Ontario Cannabis Store. At OCS, they have held the positions of Senior Quality Assurance Specialist and currently serves as the Quality Assurance Team Lead. In these roles, they have led multipl initiatives, including D365 ERP, Retail, wholesale portal, eCommerce, and data transformation. Scott has successfully decreased defect leakage into the production environment and provided guidance to team members to ensure high-quality products are released.

Scott Townsend has a diverse education history. In 2020-2021, they attended the Academy of Applied Pharmaceutical Sciences and obtained a Cannabis - Management, Quality and Edibles Diploma. In 2019, they completed a Data Engineer NanoDegree at Udacity, with a focus on Data Modeling/Warehousing. In 1999-2000, Scott earned a Diploma in Computer Programming from Fanshawe College. Prior to that, they graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Western Ontario in 1998. Scott also has additional certifications from the Canadian Securities Institute, including the Canadian Securities Course and the Technical Analysis Course. Scott also completed a course in SQL Programming at Hands-On Technology Transfer (HOTT).
