Octopunk Media is an outlet for creative, observant, and original genre content. We intend to bring a subversive, queer, critical, and cliche-bending edge to typical genre tropes, all while telling great stories.

Helmed by award winning filmmaker and 3D generalist Michelle Iannantuono, our past work includes LIVESCREAMERS, which sits at 92% on Rotten Tomatoes and was awarded the George A. Romero Fellowship in 2024; LIVESCREAM, which was nominated for a Rondo Award and won Best Director at Nightmares Film Festival; and DETROIT EVOLUTION, a queer transformative fan film in the Detroit Become Human video game universe that has surpassed 2.5 million views on YouTube. We also produced Michael Smallwood's award-winning short WHAT A BEAUTIFUL WEDDING, which was an official selection of FilmQuest 2021.

Our next short, LAZZO, was funded by the South Carolina Indie Grants and uses motion capture to be fully animated in Unreal Engine 5.
