Joseph Reid

Joseph Reid has a diverse work experience in software engineering. Joseph started their journey at QinetiQ in August 2013 and worked there as a Software Engineer until April 2015. Joseph then joined Purple Secure Systems as a Software Engineer from April 2015 to July 2016. In September 2020, they took on the role of Lead Software Engineer at Smarter Data Management until November 2021. Following this, from November 2021 to August 2023, they worked as a Software Engineer at Wayflyer. In July 2023, Joseph co-founded KitPro, and in September 2023, they joined Oculo as the Lead Full Stack Engineer, where they currently hold a position.

Joseph Reid completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree with a focus on Mathematics from the University of Birmingham in the years 2010 to 2013. Joseph then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Mathematics at the University of Warwick from 2016 to 2017. Most recently, Joseph obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mathematics from Newcastle University, where they studied from 2017 to 2021.
