Randy Plener

Director Health, Safety And Emergency Management at Ontario Clean Water Agency

Randy Plener has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of health, safety, and emergency management. Randy started their career as the Manager of Health and Safety at ABB Canada, where they implemented restructuring measures to improve performance and reduce risk exposure. Randy then joined AMEC Americas as the Vice President of Safety, Health and Environment, where they directed a multi-disciplinary team and developed operational policies and programs. Randy later served as the President and CEO of the Education Safety Association of Ontario, where they focused on realigning the organization's strategic plan and forming partnerships to add value to stakeholders. Randy then moved on to become the Senior Vice President of Health, Safety, Sustainability, and Quality at Carillion Canada Inc., where they provided executive leadership and alignment of business areas towards a uniform strategic approach in HSSQ management. Currently, Randy is the Director of Health, Safety, and Emergency Management at Ontario Clean Water Agency.

Randy Plener completed a Master of Health Sciences in Health and Safety from the University of Toronto in the years 1981-1983. Randy also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Life Sciences and Biology from Queen's University, and another Master of Health Sciences degree from the University of Toronto, with a focus on Health and Safety.
