Leonardo Lima

Leonardo Lima has a diverse work experience in software development and leadership roles. Leonardo is currently a Senior Full Stack Software Developer at ODAIA, where they started in March 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Wealthsimple as a Software Engineering Team Lead and a Software Engineer, contributing to the Trade App product team. At Coinsquare, they served as a Senior Software Engineer Team Lead, focusing on front-end architecture decisions and using modern technologies like React/TypeScript and GraphQL. Leonardo also worked at EventMobi as a Software Developer - Front End Specialist, where they were responsible for web-based apps using Angular, React, and other tools. Leonardo started their career at RD Station as a Full Stack Developer Team Lead, leading a challenging migration from jQuery to ES6/Vanilla JS syntax. Before transitioning to software development, Leonardo worked as a Journalist / Content Creator at SmartMob Coworking and as a Social Media Analyst at Fresta. Leonardo has a well-rounded background and expertise in various technologies and development methodologies.

Leonardo Lima obtained a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering from the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina in 2014-2015. In 2017, they pursued further education in Computer Software Engineering by completing the Front-End Web Developer Nanodegree Program at Udacity. From 2016 to 2017, they also completed a course titled "Modern React with Redux" as an alumnus of Udemy. Prior to their focus on software engineering, Leonardo earned another Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina in 2009-2013. Leonardo also gained knowledge in Java through a technology program at the Instituto Internacional de Inovação - i3 in 2013. Before attending university, Leonardo completed their high school education at Curso e Colégio Energia from 2004 to 2006, earning a High School/Secondary Diploma and Certificate.
