Thomas Alflen

Thomas Alflen has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. In 2018, they co-founded BRAIN, a company that focused on identifying live promotional material from influencers on platforms like Twitch.tv and YouTube. However, they later disbanded BRAIN to work full-time on Oddity.ai, another company they co-founded in 2020. At Oddity.ai, Thomas is involved in developing safety technology that detects high impact crimes on live video footage. Prior to their entrepreneurial ventures, Thomas worked as a consultant at Plat4mation in 2019, where they tackled internal issues using the ServiceNow platform, with a focus on DevOps Services. Thomas also has teaching experience at Universiteit Utrecht, guiding Business Informatics (MSc) and Information Sciences (BSc) students in their courses and reviewing their assignments and papers.

Thomas Alflen completed their education in a chronological manner. Thomas first attended St. Bonifatiuscollege from 2006 to 2013, where they obtained their VWO diploma in the field of Middelbaar onderwijs. After that, they went on to Utrecht University and pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Sciences from 2014 to 2017. Thomas continued their studies at Utrecht University, specializing in Business Informatics, and completed a Master of Science degree from 2017 to 2019.
