Ed Martinez

Ed Martinez has a diverse range of work experience in project management and operations. Ed started their career as a Senior Project Manager at Intec Engineering Inc, where they led a multi-disciplinary team in evaluating the Cantarel Project offshore Mexico. Ed then served as Vice President of Projects at Surface Production Systems Inc, providing management and supervision for all project operations.

Ed also worked as a Consultant and Engineering Manager at ExxonMobil, leading the design, procurement, and construction of the Initial Production Facilities for the Sakhalin-1 Project. Ed later joined URS as the Vice President of Global Management & Operations Services Business Group, where they leveraged their expertise in the nuclear and chemical weapons industries to the North Sea Oil and Gas industry. Ed also served as Vice President and Senior Project Director in the Industrial/Process Business Group, overseeing strategic development and client relationships.

In McDermott International Inc., Ed held the role of Director of Engineering, leading the engineering function for offshore and subsea projects in the Americas region. Ed also directed the development of the Mexico City Engineering Office into a Global Engineering Support Center.

Ed has also established their own consulting firm, Ulmus Consulting LLC, providing project execution services to clients. As the Managing Director, they focused on project planning, engineering, procurement, and systems completion.

Prior to this, Ed worked as a Systems Completion Advisor at ExxonMobil, leading commissioning and startup activities on various projects worldwide, including the Point Thomson Project in Alaska, Nabyie Project in Canada, and Banyu Urip Project in Indonesia.

In their most recent role, Ed served as the Director of Project Operations at Fletco Construction, where they managed the Project Operations Organization and implemented processes and tools to improve project execution and participated in business development activities.

Currently, Ed is working at Odin as the Director of Project Management.

Ed Martinez attended Lamar University from 1978 to 1982, where they completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering.
