Paul Chamberlain has a diverse work experience in the technology and gaming industries. Paul started their career in 2006 as a Software Engineer and Assistant Director at the Department of Defence of Australia, specializing in computer network operations and incident response. Paul also had a two-year international posting for technical and diplomatic exchange during this time.

In 2011, Paul worked as a Technical Officer (Software Engineer) at the Australian Federal Police before joining Google as a Software Engineer in 2012.

Paul then transitioned to Riot Games in 2013, where they served as a Staff Software Engineer and played a crucial role as the product lead for game security on the VALORANT project. Paul worked on all aspects of the project, including designing and building gameplay systems, networking features, and improving client and server performance.

Paul joined Epic Games in 2020 as a Technical Director, where they managed teams responsible for building and operating the technology for Fortnite's anti-cheat and ensuring competitive integrity. Paul also contributed to feature development for Fortnite and Unreal Engine during their time at Epic Games.

In 2021, Paul became a Games Technology Consultant, offering their expertise in software engineering projects, with a particular focus on gameplay networking, anti-cheat, performance, and scaling issues. Paul worked with various game studios, including Odyssey Interactive, on live service titles in Unreal Engine.

In 2022, Paul took on the role of Studio Head and Technical Director at New Avalon. However, in 2023, they moved to Odyssey Interactive as a Principal Software Engineer, their current position.

Throughout their career, Paul has demonstrated their prowess in software engineering, game security, and technical leadership, contributing to the success of various projects and companies.

Paul Chamberlain received their BSc degree in Computer Science from Murdoch University, where they studied from 2002 to 2005. During the same period, they also earned another BSc degree in Internetworking and Security from Murdoch University. Later, they pursued an MSc degree in Information Security and Intelligence, specializing in Information Warfare, at Edith Cowan University from 2008 to 2010.
