Achraf Bouali

Achraf Bouali is an accomplished diplomat currently serving as the Head of the OECD Istanbul Center for MENA, South East Europe, Central Asia, South East Asia, and LATAM since May 2022. Prior to this role, Achraf was the Special Envoy for the World Summit on Water, Energy, and Food Security in Dubai and served as a Member of Parliament in the Tweede Kamer der Staten-Generaal from 2017 to 2021, overseeing key portfolios including Foreign Trade, Development Aid, and Arms Exports. With extensive experience in various capacities at the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including Deputy Ambassador and EU Coordinator for Human Rights, Achraf has demonstrated expertise in diplomatic relations, economic affairs, and political reporting. Achraf's educational background includes advanced degrees in Political Science from Leiden University and the College of Europe, alongside post-graduate studies at ENA - Ecole nationale d'administration.
