Alexander Pick is an experienced fiscal economist currently serving as the Head of Tax Data and Statistical Analysis at the OECD, a role held since April 2015. In addition, Alexander acts as the Head of the New Development Policies and Institutions Unit and coordinates work on Revenue Statistics across various regions. Prior to this, Alexander was a Senior Adviser in the Employment and Social Security Division at the National Treasury of South Africa, where responsibilities included managing budgets for social security funds and public employment programs. Earlier experience includes serving as a Senior Editor at Intelligence Research, focusing on political and economic publications for Asia and Latin America, and completing an internship at Schroders France SA. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Economics from UCL and dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Modern Languages (French & Spanish) from the University of Oxford.
