Brian Quirk

Brian Quirk is a seasoned legal professional specializing in privacy, data protection, and regulatory affairs. Currently serving as Senior Corporate Counsel at Microsoft within the Office of the Chief Privacy Officer since January 2016, Brian has held multiple roles including Principal Corporate Counsel and Corporate Privacy Lead. Additionally, Brian is a member of the OECD Expert Group on AI, Data, and Privacy, focused on policy intersections between AI principles and privacy guidelines. Previous experience includes General Counsel for the Supreme Court of the Republic of Palau and various positions as a Staff Attorney in the United States District Court for the Eastern Washington. Brian holds a J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law, a Master’s Degree in American Studies from UMass Boston, and a Bachelor’s Degree in American Studies from Tufts University.
