Caroline Bertram

External consultant for the Joint Working Party on Agriculture and Trade (OECD)

Caroline Bertram is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Cambridge and a research associate at Sidney Sussex College. Their research investigates the EU’s trade-environmental policies, focusing on climate provisions in EU preferential trade agreements and unilateral trade-environmental measures. Previously, Caroline worked as a visiting researcher at Ghent University and completed a PhD at the University of Copenhagen, where the dissertation won the European Union Studies Association's Best Dissertation Award. Caroline has also held positions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark and the OECD, bridging the gap between academia and policymaking in international climate and trade policy.
