Filipe Silva is an experienced economist and policy analyst at the OECD in the Directorate for Science, Technology and Innovation, specializing in semiconductors, artificial intelligence, and industry analysis, among other areas, since October 2012. Prior to this role, Filipe served as a Junior Policy Analyst focusing on social impact investments and industry analyses, notably in the shipbuilding and steel sectors. As a researcher at Grupo de Estudos Monetários e Financeiros (GEMF), Filipe's research interests encompass industry dynamics, innovation, and corporate finance. Additional experience includes a role as a Junior Collaborator at Portugal's Permanent Delegation to the OECD and research and teaching positions at the Faculty of Economics, University of Coimbra. Filipe holds a PhD in Economics from the same faculty, along with a Licenciatura in Economics and international experience through the Erasmus Programme at the University of Glasgow.
