Javier Gonzalez, PhD, is a prominent academic and leader in education reform and research across Latin America and the Caribbean. Currently serving as an Advisory Board Member for the Research Coordination Group at the University of Oxford and as Director and Co-founder of SUMMA, a regional education research and innovation center, Javier has extensive experience collaborating with various educational institutions and government agencies. In addition to roles on the boards of the Agencia de Calidad de la Educación de Chile and the OECD's Global Network of Learning Schools, Javier has been involved in advising educational reforms within the Chilean Ministry of Education. With an academic background that includes positions as a researcher at Universidad de Chile and an affiliated lecturer at the University of Cambridge, as well as a PhD from the University of Cambridge, Javier's work focuses on political economy, international development, and the right to education.
